The New Covenant translation is based on the text and the critical apparatus of the 27th edition of Nestle-Aland’s Novum Testamentum Graece (Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft, Stuttgart 1993). Some variant readings of the Majority Text and Textus Receptus were also included where judged appropriate.

New Covenant is a literary translation of the New Testament, which means that the requirements of the Polish language take precedence over the original language. Care was taken to convey the original thought while also smoothing out details of historical and geographical narration, translating abstruse idioms, clarifying measures of capacity and other items of everyday life. When it comes to theological concepts, however, the translation conveys the original message literally, i.e. the Polish language submits to the Greek way of expression.
