    he rushes at me like a warrior.^(B)

⁶ then know that God has wronged me^(A)
    and drawn his net^(B) around me.^(C)

²¹ “Have pity on me, my friends,^(A) have pity,
    for the hand of God has struck^(B) me.

¹⁰ That is why snares^(A) are all around you,^(B)
    why sudden peril terrifies you,^(C)

¹³ They break up my road;^(A)
    they succeed in destroying me.^(B)
    ‘No one can help him,’ they say.

²¹ You turn on me ruthlessly;^(A)
    with the might of your hand^(B) you attack me.^(C)

²³ For I dreaded destruction from God,^(A)
    and for fear of his splendor^(B) I could not do such things.^(C)
